View of Pathfield Road, Streatham Vale. The road, dating from the late nineteenth century, contained only a few large residences at the south western end. This stretch developed at the beginning of the 20th century still remains largely unchanged today, though the rest of the road suffered some bomb damage during World War II and buildings were replaced by newer council estates.
