The plan for a three-bedroom flat in Blake House, Hercules Road, Lambeth. Construction by Walter Lawrence and Son for the London County Council began in 1920. Each flat was equiped with a coal bunker, a toilet (WC) on an open air lobby, scullery with a copper for laundry and a bath, plus a larder located in the living room.From the Drainage Records, dated December 1919.
