RAF CHRISTMAS MENU COVER: WORLD WAR II

Menu cover designed by Charles Gower from Streatham for the RAF No.5 District Christmas meal. Charles Gower transferred from RAF police service to work for the Air Defence of Great Britain section in the RAF map department. He was based at Kensington Gate, London and was responsible for noting down the movements of bombers, fighter squadrons and radar units. He also had to plot the V1 and V2 launch sites across the Channel for Bomber Command to plan air raid strategy.Digital image by kind permission of Graham Gower.
