RUSKIN PARK, DENMARK HILL, LOUGHBOROUGH JUNCTION

'The Evergreen Garden', Ruskin Park, Denmark Hill. Part of the Sander's Estate, bought by The London County Council in 1906 for use as a public park. Named after John Ruskin, who lived in Denmark Hill for many years. Opened by Mr. Evan Spicer, J.P., Chairman of the L.C.C. on Saturday 2nd February, 1907. Photograph from the booklet published by the L.C.C.on the occasion of the opening in 1907.
