SAMUEL JOHNSON

Dr. Samuel Johnson (1709 - 1784), lexicographer and writer. The son of a Lichfield bookseller. He was a close friend of Henry Thrale of Streatham Park, where he stayed on many occasions. Samuel was buried in Westminster Abbey in 1784.
