SERVICE AWARD MEDALS: WORLD WAR II

World War II service medals presented to Ernest Dare; the medal with the orange, black and green striped ribbon is the Defence Medal, and the red, white and blue ribbon is the War Medal 1939-45. Mr Dare was initially involved with the clearing of mines from the beaches of Northern France and advanced into Germany where he was assigned to the post of Chief Electrician at Spandau and the Agatha Hospital.Digital image by kind permission of Mrs M Dare.
