SHAKESPEARE ROAD, LOUGHBOROUGH JUNCTION

Shakespeare Road, south of Loughborough Junction. These houses were built to accomodate workers commuting to work using the newly established railway links from Loughborough Junction. The sign on the right advertises 'Charles Boatwright's Nursery'. He also had a florist shop in nearby Coldharbour Lane. The house and the larger entrance next door still remain in this section of Shakespeare Road.Linskey Postcard Collection.
