ST LEONARD’S CHURCH, STREATHAM CENTRAL: FIRE OF 1975

Looking from the chancel towards the east end and tower. The view gives a good idea of the destruction caused by the fire, which occured on the 5th May 1975. The cause is thought to have been an ember from a bonfire lit in the churchyard. Rebuilding began during the following year.
