The London-Redhill-Brighton stagecoach outside the Horse and Groom public house, 16 Streatham High Road. A stopping place for coaches on the Brighton Road. The pub, which was previously known as the Halfway House (between London and Croydon), was demolished and rebuilt in 1865.
