STOCKWELL BUS GARAGE, LANSDOWNE WAY, STOCKWELL

The interior of the newly-completed Stockwell Bus Garage in Lansdowne Way, Stockwell. The garage was built in 1952-3 and designed by Adie Button & Partners with Thomas Bilbow, architect to London Transport. The garage is noted for its capacity to hold 200 buses under a single-span concrete roof.
