Looking west across the Green towards Waltham Brewery, one of Stockwell's two main breweries, and showing the entrance gates to the Congregational Church. The Green itself remained open until 1876 when Mr Honey the freeholder, settled a dispute to claim the rights to use the land for building purposes.
