Stained glass window in the Board Room. The window commemorated the work of William Higgs, senior, in the founding and development of Spurgeon's Orphanage. The central picture shows the seminal meeting of Charles Haddon Spurgeon and William Higgs with Anne Hillyard, widow of an Anglican clergyman, whose generous gift of £20,000 (about £1 million at today's value) enabled the founding of the orphanage.
