Streatham Public Baths and assembly rooms, situated in Streatham High Road near Streatham Common, were opened in 1927. The swimming baths were converted in winter into a dance hall, complete with platform, sprung dance-floor and special lighting effects. The assembly rooms were a popular venue for public occasions and meetings. From Public Relations photographs and negatives.Ref: 2005/1/5 PR Photos
