Streatham Hill Girl's High School opened in Wavertree Road in 1895, having originally opened as Brixton Hill Girl's High School in 1887. After a merger in 1938 with Clapham Girl's High School it became known as the Streatham and Clapham Girl's High School and moved into its current Abbotswood Road premises in 1994.
