A portrait of a young woman and a child photographed by Harry Jacobs in his studio at 152 Landor Road, dated 18th August 1976. One of the sitters recalls; "I remember at that time every Caribbean Jamaican family HAD to get a Harry Jacobs photo taken, it was a must - no other photographer got a look in. I remember hearing his name a lot as a child and taking quite a few photos. That background was iconic as were photos with a circular chair I remember quite vividly!  There was also a dentist that every Jamaican elder used to get their gold teeth done called Mr Baugh I assume that spelling, but they would pronounce it Missa boff - he was based in Clapham.  Me and my friend were laughing about it a few days ago, our parents and relatives were very loyal to their dentist and photographer and word-of-mouth must have brought them a good living from the Caribbean community".
