The Rotunda in Blackfriars was built 1788-89 to house the natural history collection of Sir Ashton Lever, then called the Leverian Museum. The collection was dispersed in 1806 and the following year the house became the premises of the Surrey Institution. Ink and wash drawing by unknown artist, from the Surrey Collection.
