In the sky the figure of Joel II Diavolo seen making his descent on a single wire amidst fireworks. The pleasure gardens are now marked by Tyers Street and Spring Gardens, renamed Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens in 2012.Engraving from a contemporary periodical, June 13th 1816.
