Prints
Every photographic print you order is printed on-demand on high quality giclée printers by Max Communications’ staff.
All prints are printed on 300gsm lustre photographic paper (semi-gloss) to provide superb vibrant prints that provide exceptional quality and long life.
We can print on-demand at any print size to suit your particular requirements. For simplicity on the website, we have opted for standard imperial photographic sizes:
6″ x 4″: 152mm x 101mm
10” x 8”: 254mm x 203mm
16” x 12” 406mm x 305mm
20” x 16” 508mm x 406mm
Please note that each print will have a minimum border within the above paper sizes of 5mm (0.197 inches). Images which are not in proportion to the standard paper sizes will have a minimum border of 5mm (0.197 inches) in one direction and a greater border in the other direction with the image sitting centrally on the paper.
Special sizes
We are happy to accept enquiries for special sizes, materials and other services such as framing and mounting. Please contact us to discuss your own requirements for images in sizes and finishes of your own choice outside the offered range. We will be happy to try to help.
Please note that the majority of images displayed on this website have been captured from exceptionally old postcards and photographic prints. The age of these prints & postcards will mean that marks and deterioration will be evident on the print you purchase. However, the visible copyright watermark will not be on the finished print received.

Spotted a mistake?
Care has been taken to establish each image in its correct location but we are aware that some may need relocating. If you notice any images in incorrect locations please email vhm.enquiries@walthamforest.gov.uk with the image reference code and the correct location.
